Clyde Doering, LNFA - Administrator

Clyde Doering was born with a love for the elderly and raised by a, “house full of nurses” (Mother, Father, and Grandfather). Introduced to a nursing home setting at an early age, Clyde grew up spending summers volunteering with activities as well as assisting residents to and from doctors’ appointments and activity outings.
Mr. Doering earned his B.A. degree in Journalism with a minor in English from Angelo State University. While attending Angelo State University, he began volunteering with a nursing home activity program creating, writing and editing their facility newsletter and it was there he found renewed passion in the elderly.
After finishing his internship and working as an interim Administrator, Mr. Doering became a Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator in November of 2011.
After being an Administrator in Central Texas for 3 plus years, Clyde and his wife Kimberly settled in Boerne Texas and he became the Administrator at Rosewood Rehabilitation & Care Center in September 2015.
Mr. Doering became a Licensed Nursing Facility preceptor in October of 2017 allowing him to offer oversight and guidance to future Administrators during their internship.
Most recently, Mr. Doering joined the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners becoming a Certified Dementia Practitioner and continuing his passion and desire to learn from and help those suffering from dementia and their loved ones.
Outside of work, Clyde enjoys spending time with his wife Kimberly and trying to keep up with their son Carson.
Leslie Ramirez, RN - Director of Nursing

Leslie Ramirez has always enjoyed caring for people, helping people, and making them feel good when they were down. So after completing her general education classes at Texas State she moved to San Antonio to begin her nursing career.
She graduated from Galen with her LVN in 2008. Originally she wanted to be a Labor and Delivery Nurse. However, hospitals didn’t hire many LVN’s without experience, so she pursued a position in a long term care facility. Never thinking that that would be her career path, she found that she loved it. Working with this population brought Leslie so much joy. After hearing the residents life stories, meeting their families, and learning so much about life from them, she realized that this was where she was meant to be.
Leslie worked as a floor nurse providing direct resident care her first 3.5 years as a nurse. Then she was promoted to a variety of management positions from Quality Assurance Nurse, Staffing Coordinator, and MDS assessment coordinator. While completing MDS’s she was able to go back to school at Galen College where she obtain her Registered Nurse licensure in 2014.
From that point forward she continued as an MDS nurse when the Director of Nursing position became available at Rosewood Rehabilitation and Care Center. She applied for the job and out of numerous candidates from Converse and the surrounding area she was selected as the finalist for the Director of Nursing position for which she has held since 2018.
Speaking directly about Rosewood, Ms. Ramirez says “This place truly is a family. I started off as the MDS coordinator and took on the Director of Nurses role in August 2018. Since my beginning here I have gotten to know many of the staff and have taken the residents in as my own family. We spend more time at work with them than we do our own families most days. Not many people dream of being in a nursing home, so I like to be that smiling loving face that makes each day more tolerable for them. When I’m not at home with my husband and 2 children I am here with my second family. When the time is right, come join our family. We’d love to have you here with us!”
